© Universal Laminators 2011 Universal Laminators has developed a range, of Industrial laminators, which are used as steel laminators, aluminium laminators, peel coat machines, film laminators which all basically do the same job of protective filming sheets of stainless steel, glass, aluminium, HPL and many other board materials. The HPL filming system will automatically apply protective film to high pressure laminate sheets. The decorative finish on the sheets means that damage during transit and handling had to be avoided, and the best way to do this is to apply a thin film to the surface that will be removed when the sheets reach their destination. The system is built around the high speed automatic Rapier Laminator. This highly adaptable machine can cope with a large range of both sheet and film sizes.   The large range of sheets being fed through the system, coupled with small batch sizes meant that flexibility and rapid changeover were extremely important issues. So Universal Laminators developed a carousel system to hold six different reels of film at one time. This carousel greatly reduced down time during reel changeovers, ensuring that the system was running at full speed as often as possible.   The line also incorporates the StackerMate sheet Unloader to take the filmed sheets off the out-feed conveyor and stack them. This allows the complex line to be run with only one operator, greatly reducing the manpower involved in the entire process.
