© Universal Laminators 2011 The Scimitar fully automatic industrial laminator is suitable for unmanned operation. These tough and reliable machines, also known as filming machines, peel coaters and poly coaters are suitable for use as aluminium coaters, stainless steel coaters, glass laminators, and HPL fimers. These machines are supported by our experienced service engineers, and spares and service are readily available. We also service, repair and supply spares for  Automation Technique's Cutlass Filmers, Sabre Coaters, Scimitar Laminators, and Rapier Laminators. The Scimitar is often incorporated into automatic filming lines using sheet loaders and un-loaders. The system shown here incorporates the Opti-Roll rapid reel change system, which greatly reduces down time.   The Scimitar Laminator can apply the majority of protective films at speeds of up to 30m per minute. Therefore it is possible to film 180 off 4m long panels in an hour. The film is cut using our patented Micro-Cut System™, which allows for a "flush" cut. It is even possible to undercut an edge, all without knives or blades approaching the sheet ensuring product damage cannot occur.
